Lois Frankel, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 22nd district since 2013, has recently voiced her concerns through a series of tweets. Born in New York City in 1948 and residing in West Palm Beach, Frankel has been an active political figure, previously serving in the Florida House of Representatives from 1986 to 2002.

On March 20, 2025, Frankel expressed her disapproval regarding the Trump Administration's approach to public education. She stated that "The Trump Administration’s dismantling of the Department of Education is a devastating blow to public education." Emphasizing the importance of public schools, she remarked on their role in providing opportunities for all children regardless of background.

The following day, March 21, Frankel shared her personal connection to veterans' issues as a mother of a veteran who served in Afghanistan and Iraq. She stressed the importance of supporting veterans by protecting the Veterans Affairs (VA) from proposed budget cuts by President Trump. Her tweet read: "As a mother of an Afghanistan and Iraq war Veteran, I know we have no greater duty than to stand by and support our Veterans."

Later on March 21, Frankel criticized President Trump's educational policies again. She claimed that "President Trump wants to gut our public schools to pay for tax breaks for the wealthy." Advocating for governmental priorities that favor children's education over benefiting affluent donors.
