Rep. Lois Frankel, currently representing Florida’s 22nd district in the U.S. Congress, has raised concerns over a series of political developments through her social media posts. Frankel has been serving in Congress since 2013, following her previous tenure in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in 1948 in New York City, she is a graduate of Boston University and Georgetown University, and currently resides in West Palm Beach.
On March 28, 2025, Rep. Lois Frankel criticized Republican policies, asserting that they are not lowering costs but instead "attacking everyday Americans." She specifically highlighted President Trump’s actions against federal workers, stating they threaten "our national security and essential services." "President Trump’s latest assault on federal workers’ rights shows how far Republicans will go to gut our federal workforce," she expressed.
Later the same day, Frankel addressed the dismantling of the U.S. Agency for Global Media. She warned that such a move would benefit adversarial nations like China and Russia. Frankel and Sen. Brian Schatz are pressing the USAGM leadership to reconsider these actions. She stated, "Dismantling the U.S. Agency for Global Media is a gift to China, Russia, and other authoritarian adversaries."
In another post, Frankel touched on the issue of hostages, displaying a firm commitment to bringing them home. She declared, "We will not give up, we will not rest, until every single one of the 59 remaining hostages returns home." Her message signals the importance and urgency of resolving this ongoing matter.
