Representative Lois Frankel, serving Florida's 22nd district in the U.S. Congress, has expressed her concerns regarding recent events under the Trump Administration through a series of tweets. Serving since 2013 and with a background in law and politics, Frankel continues to be an active voice on Capitol Hill.

On April 21, 2025, Rep. Frankel raised concerns about the Trump Administration’s plans regarding USAID, highlighting the potential security issues it poses. She stated, "The Trump Admin’s dismantling of USAID and unlawful plan to fold it into the State Department weakens our national security and threatens lifesaving humanitarian programs." She further articulated her opposition by noting her collaboration with colleagues from House Foreign Affairs and Senate Foreign Relations committees to challenge the administration's approach.

On the following day, April 22, 2025, Rep. Frankel linked environmental issues to economic challenges in the context of Earth Day. She remarked, "#EarthDay is a reminder that Trump’s attacks on our environment are also an attack on our economy." Through this tweet, she expressed how threats to natural resources may result in job loss, food shortages, and increased living costs, emphasizing the impact on Americans' livelihoods.

Later that same day, on April 22, 2025, Rep. Frankel addressed the rise of antisemitic incidents. She pointed out the troubling statistics from the Anti-Defamation League, stating, "In 2024, antisemitic incidents hit a record high for the second year in a row—with more than one every hour and over 350 reported across Florida, per @ADL." She condemned these growing trends and urged collective action to counteract them.

Lois Frankel, aged 74, was born in New York City and resides in West Palm Beach. She began her political career in the Florida House of Representatives and has a long history of public service grounded in her academic background from Boston University and Georgetown University.
