Rep. Lois Frankel, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida's 22nd district, shared remarks on various pressing issues via social media in April 2025. With a tenure in Congress beginning in 2013, Frankel has been an active voice on matters concerning social services, international relations, and public safety.

On April 16, 2025, Frankel criticized former President Trump's commitment to social security. She stated, "Trump promised not to cut Social Security. But when seniors can’t get through to an office or get their checks on time—that’s a cut." She expressed her support for the @HouseDemocrats Social Security Day of Action, highlighting her stance with local seniors against what she described as Trump's undermining of their benefits.

Later that same day, Frankel addressed her concerns about proposed federal budget cuts. She indicated that "The Trump Administration is pushing a devastating 50% cut to the State Department—targeting global health, humanitarian assistance, peacekeeping, and even programs like Fulbright." She suggested that such reductions endanger lives, weaken alliances, and embolden geopolitical rivals such as China and Russia.

On April 17, Frankel commented on a developing situation involving an active shooter at Florida State University. She mentioned that her office was closely monitoring the events and expressed her gratitude for the efforts of first responders. She shared, "Grateful to the first responders working to protect students, faculty, and staff as events continue to unfold." She sent her thoughts to those affected by the situation, indicating an awareness and concern for the community's welfare as the situation developed.

Lois Frankel, aged 74, has lived in West Palm Beach since representing Florida’s 22nd district in Congress from 2013. She has a background in law, holding a BA from Boston University and a JD from Georgetown University.
