Rep. Lois Frankel, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 22nd district, has shared a series of posts on social media reflecting on the significance of Passover and recent events. Frankel, who has been in Congress since 2013 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives, provides insights into both international concerns and local incidents.

On April 11, 2025, Rep. Frankel highlighted the ongoing plight of hostages held by Hamas during Passover. She noted, "As families gather for Passover, we remember the 59 hostages still held by Hamas." Frankel remarked that for the second consecutive Passover, many families are spending the holiday without their loved ones, emphasizing a collective determination to "bring them all home."

In a post on April 12, 2025, Frankel offered Passover greetings and connected the holiday's themes to contemporary life. She wrote, "As we gather tonight to celebrate Passover, we retell the story of the Jewish people's journey from slavery to freedom." She urged people to draw strength and hope from their heritage and the resilience demonstrated by their ancestors.

On April 14, 2025, Frankel expressed her concern regarding a violent incident affecting the Shapiro family during Passover. She tweeted, "My heart is with the Shapiro family. It’s especially alarming that this act of violence happened on Seder night." She condemned violence as a means of expressing dissent and thanked first responders for ensuring everyone's safety.

Rep. Lois Frankel was born in New York City and currently resides in West Palm Beach, Florida. She holds a degree from Boston University and a JD from Georgetown University.
