Rep. Lois Frankel, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 22nd district, has been vocal on various issues through her social media presence. On March 18 and 19, 2025, she addressed concerns regarding international peace efforts, antisemitism, and immigration policies.
On March 18, Frankel expressed concern over the situation at the U.S. Institute of Peace. She stated that "The U.S. Institute of Peace is an independent nonprofit dedicated to preventing and resolving violent conflict in places like Burma, the Philippines, Nigeria, Colombia, and Haiti." She further claimed that it is being "forcibly and unlawfully taken over," describing this as "an attack on peace itself."
Later that day, she commented on a report by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) concerning Wikipedia's content bias. Frankel highlighted that ".@ADL’s new report raises serious concerns about antisemitic and anti-Israel bias on Wikipedia, a website millions around the world rely on for information." She emphasized the need for "clear standards, greater transparency, and safeguards to prevent bad-faith actors from distorting the truth."
On March 19, Frankel addressed immigration policy affecting Venezuelans in the United States. She criticized a decision impacting Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders by stating "The decision to revoke TPS for nearly 350,000 Venezuelans ignores the brutal, dangerous reality on the ground and abandons the Venezuelan-American community." She joined other Florida Democratic colleagues in urging Secretary Rubio to reconsider this action.
