Lois Frankel, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida’s 22nd district, recently shared her thoughts and announcements on social media. Her posts reflect both personal sentiments and political stances, as well as opportunities for local students.
On March 16, 2025, Frankel expressed sorrow over the death of Nita Lowey, whom she described as a dear friend and mentor. In her post, she stated: "So sad by the passing of my dear friend and mentor, Nita Lowey. She was a trailblazer, a champion for women and families, and a force for good in the world. My thoughts are with her family. May her memory be a blessing."
Two days later, on March 18, 2025, Frankel encouraged high school students in Palm Beach County to participate in the Congressional Art Competition. Highlighting last year's winner from AHSpalmbeach, she posted: "Last year, Clover from @AHSpalmbeach won our Congressional Art Competition. This year, it could be you! If you’re a high school student in #PBC, enter by April 14th for a chance to have your artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol!"
Later that same day, Frankel addressed healthcare policy issues on social media. She criticized Republican efforts to cut Medicaid benefits while expressing support for health care protection measures led by House Democrats: "Republicans want to cut Medicaid to hand their billionaire donors another tax break.@HouseDemocrats and I are fighting back—in Congress, in the courts, and in our communities—to save and protect the health care millions across our country rely on."
