Rep. Lois Frankel, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 22nd district, shared her thoughts on recent events through a series of tweets. Frankel has been a member of Congress since 2013 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives.

On February 8, 2025, Rep. Frankel expressed mixed emotions regarding the release of three individuals from Hamas captivity. She stated: "Bittersweet relief that Or, Ohad, and Eli are finally free from Hamas captivity. While we celebrate their return, we remain mindful of their deteriorating health and the loved ones they’ve lost." She emphasized the urgency for action by saying: "The remaining hostages are running out of time—we must bring them home now."

On February 10, 2025, she criticized former President Donald Trump and House Republicans for allegedly compromising government privacy by stating: "Donald Trump and House Republicans have turned over the keys to the government’s most private information to a billionaire donor." To address this issue, she mentioned joining her Democratic colleagues to introduce legislation aimed at enhancing safeguards against unauthorized access to sensitive information.

Later that day, Rep. Frankel invited constituents to participate in a telephone town hall scheduled for that evening. In her tweet she wrote: "Join me tonight at 5:30 PM for a telephone town hall to hear directly from me, share your thoughts, and ask your questions on recent actions of the Trump Administration and Congress." She provided multiple ways for people to join the conversation.
