Lois Frankel, who currently serves in the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 22nd district, expressed her views on recent political moves via her social media account. Frankel, who has been serving in Congress since 2013 after replacing previous member Allen West, frequently shares her thoughts on various political issues, impacting national and foreign policy.

On April 2, 2025, Frankel criticized the decision to shut down USAID. She stated, "Shutting down USAID is shortsighted, dangerous, and cruel." Frankel emphasized how USAID has played a pivotal role over the past 60 years in delivering aid and advancing American values abroad. She noted that reducing support for USAID would weaken America's global influence and put lives at risk.

The following day, on April 3, Frankel addressed tariffs imposed by President Trump. She condemned these measures in a post saying, "Trump’s tariffs are a gut punch to American families and seniors on fixed incomes." She argued that the tariffs would increase the cost of living for essentials, including groceries, automobiles, and prescription drugs, while isolating the United States from its allies.

Later that day, Frankel continued her critique of foreign policy with a post stating, "When the U.S. turns its back on the world, we leave a void that China, Russia, and other bad actors are all too eager to fill." She highlighted the situation in Myanmar as an example and expressed concern over the abandonment of U.S. foreign assistance, saying it made the world less stable and America less secure.
