Rep. Lois Frankel, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 22nd district, has voiced her concerns on several issues through social media posts. Frankel, who replaced Allen West in 2013 and has been active in politics since serving in the Florida House of Representatives from 1986 to 2002, shared her views on education and foreign aid policy.

On February 4, 2025, Rep. Lois Frankel expressed strong opposition to proposals aimed at shutting down the Department of Education. She stated that "Quality education is how we build a prosperous future." She further elaborated that such actions would be a "reckless attack" leading to significant reductions in funding and weakening federal protections for vulnerable students.

Later that day, she addressed concerns regarding USAID staff being placed on leave. On February 4, 2025, she remarked that "Placing nearly all of USAID’s Washington-based staff on leave is deeply concerning." Emphasizing their role as dedicated public servants advancing U.S. interests, she criticized the decision as not contributing to national safety or prosperity.

Continuing her critique of policies affecting USAID, Rep. Frankel tweeted on February 5, 2025: "Let’s be clear: Dismantling USAID makes us weaker, less prosperous, and diminishes our global leadership." She argued against involving military forces with civil servants as a cost-cutting measure.
