CITY OF DELRAY BEACH: Warmer temperatures and dry spells typically lead to increased irrigation

Water044

City Of Delray Beach issued the following announcement on Apr. 26.

Warmer temperatures and dry spells typically lead to increased irrigation. We encourage all property owners who use drinking water for irrigation to disable scheduled irrigation when rainfall increases and to follow conservation measures for irrigation.

Water lawns only 3 days per week

Addresses ending in ODD numbers water on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Saturdays

Addresses ending in EVEN numbers water on Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Sundays

Apply only up to an inch of water per week and only as needed to supplement rainfall.

Together we can conserve water to help meet future needs and reduce demands on Florida's water-dependent ecosystems such as springs, rivers, lakes, wetlands, and underground water supply aquifers.

As a reminder, you may experience a slight decrease in water pressure during peak irrigation times, 2 a.m. to 5 a.m., especially if you reside in a high-rise building that is older and may not be equipped with a water pressure booster.
