Lois Frankel, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 22nd district, has expressed her concerns on several issues through recent tweets. Frankel, who has been serving in Congress since 2013 after replacing Allen West, addressed topics ranging from funding bills to education and transparency within government agencies.
On March 11, 2025, Frankel criticized a Republican funding bill, stating that it does not address cost reductions for American families. She highlighted her opposition by noting that the bill "fails to protect Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid from devastating cuts promised by the President’s billionaire friend." Consequently, she voted against the bill.
In another tweet dated March 12, 2025, Frankel raised alarms over reports involving USAID staff allegedly destroying classified documents. She emphasized the need for transparency by questioning "What is the admin trying to hide?" and stressed that such actions raise serious legal and ethical concerns.
Later on March 12, Frankel addressed educational policies in a tweet concerning potential changes initiated by the President. She warned about efforts to dismantle the Department of Education and its impact on public schools' quality. According to her post "This could mean less funding for tutoring, teacher training, social services, and college prep—hurting Palm Beach County schools and beyond."
