Lois Frankel Us Representative of Florida | Official U.S. House Headshot

Rep. Lois Frankel, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 22nd district, recently shared several statements on social media addressing various issues and personal reflections. Frankel has been serving in Congress since 2013 after replacing Allen West and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1986 to 2002.

On March 3, 2025, Rep. Frankel reflected on her time in the Florida State Legislature with Lincoln Díaz-Balart, stating: "Lincoln and I entered the Florida State Legislature together as freshmen and served side by side for several years. He was a passionate, caring fighter for his community, for South Florida, and for democracy." She extended her condolences to the Díaz-Balart family.

Later that day, she addressed concerns about foreign aid cuts: "The numbers are clear—gutting foreign aid will cost countless lives and leave all of us more vulnerable." She highlighted potential consequences such as increased malaria cases and untreated malnutrition.

In another post from March 3rd, Frankel introduced her guest for the State of the Union address: "My guest for the State of the Union, Cynthia Boston-Thompson—Florida President of @AFGENational... is joining me as we head to Washington with a clear message: mass layoffs won’t lower costs." She emphasized their shared stance against mass layoffs.
