Rep. Lois Frankel, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 22nd District since 2013, recently shared a series of tweets addressing various issues and opportunities. Born in New York City in 1948, Frankel has been an active political figure with a long-standing career that includes serving in the Florida House of Representatives from 1986 to 2002.
On November 20, Rep. Frankel expressed her commitment to combating antisemitism globally. She stated: "We must use every tool at our disposal to stand up to the worldwide surge in antisemitism." She further mentioned her vote to encourage states and international bodies to adopt the State Department's Global Guidelines for Countering Antisemitism.
The following day, on November 21, she reacted to unfortunate news from Palm Beach County with empathy and concern: "Devastated by the tragic news coming out of Palm Beach County this morning." She conveyed her thoughts for those affected by the incident.
Later on November 21, Rep. Frankel extended an invitation to high school juniors and seniors interested in public service within her Congressional District: "If you’re a junior or senior in high school living in my Congressional District and interested in public service, applications for next year’s Council are open until next Saturday, November 30, 2024." She encouraged eligible students to learn more about this opportunity.
