Friends of the Mounts Botanical Garden will be offering FREE admission to all Palm Beach County residents on the second Saturday of each month starting July 9 and continuing through the rest of this year (August 13, September 10, October 8, November 12 and December 10). Visitors must show proof of residency on those dates for admission-free entry.
“As a growing cultural and eco-friendly institution under the verdant umbrella of Palm Beach County Cooperative Extension, we are proud to offer free admission one day a month to our fellow county residents,” says Rochelle Wolberg, Curator/Director at Mounts Botanical Garden.
‘This is one way we can say THANK YOU to the people and taxpayers of Palm Beach County for their ongoing support of Mounts Botanical Garden over the last few years of unprecedented challenges from COVID to economic uncertainty,” she adds. “Mounts is the ‘Community’s Garden,’ so we invite local residents to come out to relax, rejuvenate, and repeat each month. There’s much to discover in our 16-acre tropical oasis with its acclaimed collection of 25 unique garden areas containing more than 6,000 species of tropical and sub-tropical plants.”
Admission for non-residents on those days will remain at $12 for nonmember adults; $10 for seniors 65+, college students, and military with ID; $5 for ages 6-17. The open hours at Mounts are 9 am to 3 pm (last entry at 2 pm) June through October, and 9 am to 4 pm (last entry at 3 pm) November and December.
