Groundbreaking for Homeless Resource Center II

On May 9, 2022, Palm Beach County Mayor Robert S. Weinroth and fellow county Commissioners Maria G. Marino, Dave Kerner, Maria Sachs, Melissa McKinlay and Mack Bernard held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Homeless Resource Center II, located south of the existing Mid-County Senior Center.

Mayor Weinroth provided opening remarks followed by project remarks from Community Services Department Director James Green and Human Services Division Director Wendy Tippett.

The initial cost of construction is $16 million and will take approximately 14 months. The 20,020 sq. ft. resource center will feature a fitness trail for community use.
