Boca Raton issued the following announcement on Oct. 28
Boca Raton City Council members recently appointed city resident Yvette Drucker to fill City Council Seat C, temporarily. Seat C is currently unoccupied due to the military deployment of Council Member Jeremy Rodgers. The temporary appointment will run through March 31, 2021, unless Rodgers returns from active duty to resume his seat before then. Drucker will be sworn in to begin her temporary service as a council member before the virtual City Council meeting on November 10th.
City Council members heard from 32 applicants at the virtual workshop on Monday, October 26, all of whom shared their desire to be of service in this unique circumstance. The interviews, discussion, and appointment that took place on October 26 and 27, 2020 can be viewed on the City’s website.
City Council meetings are held at 6pm on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. The CRA meets at 1:30pm on the preceding Monday, immediately followed by the City Council Workshop meeting.
