FREEDOM SHORES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: Students Protocols, as Outlined in a New COVID-19 Policy

Elem

Freedom Shores Elementary School issued the following announcement on Aug. 21

To promote the health, safety, and welfare of students and staff, the School Board has approved Policy 5.3260 Student Protocols Due to COVID-19. Parents and guardians should review the policy carefully with their children prior to returning to school campuses when they reopen.

Families are expected to screen students for a fever and other potential symptoms daily, before sending their child to school. Additionally, students must wear face masks and adhere to social distancing guidelines. Each student will be provided with five washable masks.

The policy also includes protocols for reporting an instance of a child testing positive for COVID-19, or if a child is exposed to someone who is positive for the virus.

Students who do not adhere to these guidelines are subject to discipline as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct.

Read and review the policy here. Questions about the policy should be directed to your child’s school.
