City Hosting a Toy Drive for West Coast Community

The holiday season is right around the corner and each year, Greenacres' Administration Department and Human Resources Division organizes adifferent charitable event/drive. This year, the City has decided to hold a toy drive for our neighbors on the West Coast of Florida who have been heavily impacted by Hurricane Ian.

This year, our City has partnered with Estero Fire Rescue in which all of the contributions from this toy drive will be personally delivered to them. Estero Fire Rescue holds a toy drive annually for their community, but as you can imagine, they may not have the resources or the ability to host their own this year. This is where we are asking our thoughtful community and generous business partners to step in. This toy drive will not be taking away from anything we do for our residents, but will be in addition to help others during this difficult time. We would greatly welcome anyand all support to our efforts! We are asking that all donations be dropped off by end of business day on Friday, December 2.

All unwrapped toy donations may be dropped off to Greenacres City Hall, 5800 Melaleuca Ln., to the Greenacres Community Center, 501 Swain Blvd. or we’ll gladly pick them up at location that is convenient for you. All financial contributions may be brought to Suzanne Skidmore or Austin Lee at City Hall.
