Let's Talk - Opioid Epidemic Awareness
A Series of Community Conversations
More than 760,000 people have died since 1999 from a drug overdose. And two out of three drug overdose deaths involve opioids. It is clear that the Opioid Epidemic is not going away. From prescription medications to synthetic drugs like fentanyl, we have a growing crisis in the United States. In this presentation, Dr. Rachel Needle will provide education on Opioids including what they are, why they are so addictive, and how we got to the place we are. She will discuss how the Opioid Epidemic is impacting our country and families, how to help a loved one, and ideas for prevention.
