Congresswoman Lois Frankel has voiced her views on social, political, and economic matters through a series of tweets. Frankel, who represents Florida’s 22nd district, has held her congressional position since 2013 after serving in the Florida House of Representatives from 1986 to 2002. A native of New York City and currently residing in West Palm Beach, Frankel’s educational background includes a BA from Boston University and a JD from Georgetown University.

On April 21, 2025, Frankel paid respects to the memory of Pope Francis, saying “Pope Francis led with kindness and empathy, using his voice to advocate for those in need, strive for a more equitable and peaceful world, and call to protect our planet. May his memory be a blessing.”

Later that same day, she commented on the situation concerning reproductive rights in Florida, where, according to Frankel, “Once a critical access point for women across the South, Florida saw the largest loss of abortion access in the country last year.” Frankel attributed the changes to “a cruel, draconian 6-week ban”, claiming it adversely impacted women’s autonomy over their health.

Frankel also expressed concerns over the Social Security system, accusing two high-profile figures of failing to uphold its promises. She tweeted, “Americans pay into Social Security their whole lives, counting on the promise it’ll be there when they retire. But Trump and Musk are breaking that promise.” Highlighting problems such as difficulties with phone services, check disbursements, and website accessibility, she concluded “that’s a cut. Plain and simple.”
