Rep. Lois Frankel, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 22nd district, has expressed her views on several pressing issues through a series of tweets. Born in New York City and residing in West Palm Beach, Frankel has been an active political figure since replacing Allen West in 2013.
On June 9, 2025, Rep. Frankel commented on the potential elimination of the State Department’s Office for Global Women’s Issues. She stated that “Eliminating the State Department’s Office for Global Women’s Issues would weaken America’s ability to stand up for women and girls around the world.” Frankel emphasized the need for a dedicated office to uphold important laws such as the Women, Peace, and Security Act.
Later that day, she addressed concerns regarding public health decisions made by RFK. She tweeted that “RFK told us directly that we shouldn’t take medical advice from him, and now he’s fired every expert on the scientific committee that reviews and recommends vaccines for the public.” Frankel warned that these actions could jeopardize American health based on conspiracy theories.
On June 10, 2025, Frankel shared her involvement in renaming a post office after Ben Ferencz amidst rising antisemitism. She wrote “As antisemitism continues to rage, I’m proud to have led the effort in Congress to rename the Delray Post Office after Ben Ferencz.” Ferencz was recognized as a longtime resident who spoke out against hate.
Lois Frankel holds degrees from Boston University and Georgetown University Law Center. Her extensive career includes serving in both state and national legislative bodies.
