Former Grandview Preparatory School star Lena Girardi and her Oklahoma State Cowgirls team were defeated 87-68 by the UCLA Bruins in the NCAA Tournament on Monday, March 23.
The matchup was held at Pauley Pavilion at 7 p.m.
Girardi posted six points and grabbed one rebound across 12 minutes of play.
Chloe Yeatts of Florida Atlantic University’s softball team earned an honorable mention from the American Conference after strong performances against Tulsa. This marks her first honor this season and third overall as an Owl.
Florida Atlantic freshman Ava Koehl has been named an NSCA All-American for her achievements in beach volleyball during her first year with the team. This is both her first career honor from NSCA and a milestone for FAU’s program.
Florida Atlantic University has added sophomore guard Janiah Suprius to its women’s basketball team for next season after an award-winning year at Palm Beach State College. Head Coach LeAnn Freeland praised Suprius’ skills as both a scorer and playmaker.
