Nick Romano earns conference honorable mention after strong performance for FAU baseball

Florida Atlantic University’s baseball team third baseman Nick Romano has received an honorable mention from the American Athletic Conference for his performance last week, according to a statement released Monday.

Romano contributed significantly to Florida Atlantic’s three-game sweep against Villanova. He hit his second home run of the season during Saturday’s 11-5 victory. Over four games in the past week, Romano achieved eight hits in 14 at-bats, drove in six runs, and scored five times. After 11 games this season, Romano holds a .375 batting average and leads the team with two home runs and eight RBIs.

The Owls will travel to Gainesville on Tuesday for a matchup against ninth-ranked Florida. The game is set to begin at 6 p.m. and will be broadcast on SEC Network+.
