Mason Koczwara competes for FIU in NCAA Division I game against Florida Gators

On Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 6 p.m., Mason Koczwara, a former Pine Crest School standout, and the FIU Golden Panthers were defeated 11-4 by the Florida Gators in an NCAA Division I baseball game.

The matchup was held at Condron Family Ballpark. It marked the second time this season the Golden Panthers faced the Gators; in their previous contest on Tuesday, Feb. 24, the Golden Panthers fell 17-11.

Koczwara threw 1.2 innings, allowing one walk and striking out one batter.

The Golden Panthers are set to play next on Friday, Feb. 27, at 6 p.m. at FIU Baseball Stadium against the Stony Brook Seawolves.
