U.S. Representative Lois Frankel, who serves Florida’s 22nd congressional district, shared a series of updates on social media reflecting both local and national issues.
On February 18, 2026, Frankel recalled a personal memory from the 2008 Democratic National Convention, writing: “I had the privilege of sitting next to Rev. Jesse Jackson at the 2008 DNC—the year President @BarackObama became our nominee. I’ll never forget the tears of joy, hope, and promise on his face. He’ll be dearly missed, and I’m keeping my House colleague @rep_jackson in my”.
The following day, on February 19, 2026, Frankel highlighted a federal investment in her district: “Palm Beach County is stepping onto the national stage in quantum. Proud to secure more than $3M to expand training + tech innovation to keep our local economy competitive and grow the jobs of the future.”
Later that same day, she issued a statement regarding legislative developments at the state level: “My statement in response to the Florida State Senate’s passage of a bill to rename Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) as President Donald J. Trump International Airport.”
Frankel has represented Florida’s 22nd congressional district since 2013 after replacing Allen West. Before her tenure in Congress, she served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1986 to 2002. Born in New York City in 1948 and now residing in West Palm Beach, Frankel holds degrees from Boston University and Georgetown University.
