U.S. Representative Lois Frankel, who has represented Florida’s 22nd district in Congress since 2013, used her social media platform over several days in March 2026 to address issues ranging from women’s rights to local housing and health initiatives.
On March 8, Frankel marked International Women’s Day by stating: “On International Women’s Day, let’s be clear: women’s rights are human rights. And right now, those rights are being rolled back at home and abroad. We have a moral responsibility to protect equality, dignity, and freedom—for every woman, everywhere.”
The following day, March 9, she highlighted federal funding secured for affordable housing in Lake Worth: “Last week, I joined @LakeWorthCRA to highlight $850K in federal funding I secured for its Attainable Housing Project. This investment will bring affordable housing to downtown Lake Worth. Since 2010, they’ve built 700+ units—lowering costs and strengthening our community.”
On March 10, Frankel focused on women’s health efforts in Palm Beach County: “No better investment than the health of our mothers and grandmothers. Proud to partner with the Promise Fund to make sure the women of Palm Beach County remain healthy and cancer-free.”
Frankel has served as a member of Congress since replacing Allen West in 2013 and previously spent more than a decade in the Florida House of Representatives from 1986 to 2002. She was born in New York City in 1948 and currently resides in West Palm Beach. Frankel holds a BA from Boston University (1970) and a JD from Georgetown University (1973).
