U.S. Representative Lois Frankel, who has represented Florida’s 22nd congressional district since 2013, recently addressed the Women, Peace & Security (WPS) agenda and ongoing economic concerns in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).
On November 19, 2025, Frankel announced her participation in a Council on Foreign Relations event, writing: “Tune in as I join today’s @CFR_org conversation on the Women, Peace & Security agenda. When women are at the negotiating table, peace is stronger & more likely to last. We must uphold WPS to advance stability, security, & prosperity at home & abroad.”
The following day, November 20, she reiterated her support for women’s roles in peace processes and referenced bipartisan efforts to maintain the relevance of the WPS Act: “When women are at the table, peace is stronger & lasts longer. Great to join @CFR_org to talk about the importance of the Women, Peace, & Security Act. WPS is still the law of the land. As co-chair of the bipartisan WPS Caucus, I’m working with @RepJenKiggans to ensure it’s”
Later that same day, Frankel turned her attention to domestic economic issues. She wrote: “Trump’s policies are driving up costs, and unemployment is now at a four-year high. Americans deserve an economy that works for them–that means access to good jobs and affordable basics like groceries, housing, and health care. We’ll keep working to make that happen.”
Frankel has been active in public service for several decades. Before her election to Congress in 2013—succeeding Allen West—she served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1986 until 2002. Born in New York City in 1948 and currently residing in West Palm Beach at age 74, Frankel holds degrees from Boston University (BA) and Georgetown University (JD).
