Lois Frankel, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 22nd district since 2013, recently shared her views on various social and political issues through a series of tweets. Frankel, who replaced former Congress member Allen West and has an extensive career in politics including her tenure in the Florida House of Representatives, provided insights on health policy, remembrance, and economic promises.
On April 23, 2025, Rep. Frankel raised concerns about health policy decisions, emphasizing the critical need for science-driven actions. She stated, “This would certainly cost people their lives and risk dragging us right back into another pandemic. The HHS Secretary must follow science, not conspiracies.”
Later the same day, Frankel reflected on Yom HaShoah, highlighting the importance of remembrance against a backdrop of rising antisemitism. She tweeted, “On Yom HaShoah, we honor the memory of the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust—one of humanity’s darkest hours. With antisemitism surging at alarming levels, it is our duty to remain united against hate, bigotry, and ignorance.”
On April 24, 2025, Frankel commented on the current economic state under the previous administration’s promises. In her tweet, she referenced a statement by Rep. Grace Meng, expressing dissatisfaction with the unmet promise of reduced costs of living by President Trump. Frankel wrote, “What my friend @RepGraceMeng said! President Trump promised to lower the cost of living on day one. We’re still waiting!”
Lois Frankel has had a longstanding political career being born in New York City, residing in West Palm Beach, and earning degrees from Boston University and Georgetown University.
