Rep. Lois Frankel, who represents Florida’s 22nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on December 3, 2025, addressing concerns about federal funding and public education policies under the Trump Administration.
In her first post at 14:57 UTC, Frankel wrote, “The President doesn’t get to use political disputes to withhold funding that was already signed into law. Stop using hardworking Americans just trying to feed their kids as political pawns.”
Later that day at 16:09 UTC, Frankel emphasized the importance of public education and criticized former President Donald Trump’s approach: “Public education is a cornerstone of our democracy—giving every child a fair shot to learn, grow, and succeed. Trump is trying to tear that down. I joined @RepBonamici and 30+ colleagues to stand up for the Dept of Education and look out for our students, teachers, and future.”
She also shared a link to a letter addressed to the Trump Administration with the statement: “Read our full letter to the Trump Administration below:”
Frankel has served in Congress since 2013 after succeeding Allen West and previously held office in the Florida House of Representatives from 1986 to 2002. She was born in New York City in 1948 and resides in West Palm Beach. Her educational background includes degrees from Boston University (BA) and Georgetown University (JD).
