U.S. Representative Lois Frankel, who serves Florida’s 22nd district in Congress, posted a series of tweets on October 6, 2025, addressing concerns about a potential government shutdown and healthcare issues while announcing an upcoming virtual town hall.
In her first post on October 6, Frankel wrote, “I know the government shutdown & looming Republican health care crisis are top of mind for many of you. I’m hosting a Virtual Town Hall with @RepGregLandsman on Wednesday at 6 PM to share updates from Congress & answer your questions. Register here: https://t.co/Hia0k0eLMq https://t.co/inG3U2gbMy”. She followed this by sharing information on how to watch the event live, stating in another tweet on the same day: “Watch live here: https://t.co/BXlmmvI7RS”.
Later that evening, Frankel emphasized the importance of respecting judicial decisions in a tweet dated October 6: “Our democracy depends on everyone following the rulings of the judicial system—anything less undermines the rule of law.”
Frankel has represented Florida’s 22nd district since 2013 after succeeding Allen West. Before her tenure in Congress, she served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1986 to 2002. Born in New York City in 1948 and currently residing in West Palm Beach, Frankel earned her undergraduate degree from Boston University and later obtained a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University.
