U.S. Representative Lois Frankel, who represents Florida’s 22nd district in Congress, announced a virtual town hall to address the GOP-led government shutdown and health care issues. Frankel invited constituents to join her and Congresswoman Shontel Brown for the event scheduled for Thursday at noon.

On October 20, 2025, Frankel posted on her official X account: “Join me and @CongresswomanSC this Thursday at noon for another virtual town hall on the GOP shutdown and Republicans’ health care crisis. If you missed the last one, here’s your chance to catch up and get your questions answered.

She reiterated the invitation in a subsequent post on October 21, stating: “Thursday at noon, I’m hosting another Virtual Town Hall with @CongresswomanSC on the GOP government shutdown and Republican health care crisis.

Frankel has served as U.S. Representative for Florida’s 22nd District since 2013, after succeeding Allen West. She previously spent more than a decade in the Florida House of Representatives from 1986 to 2002. Born in New York City in 1948, Frankel currently resides in West Palm Beach. She holds a BA from Boston University and earned her JD from Georgetown University.
