Lois Frankel, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 22nd district since 2013, recently shared her views on several key issues via social media. Frankel, who has an extensive political career that includes serving in the Florida House of Representatives from 1986 to 2002, addressed topics ranging from veterans’ affairs to equal pay legislation.
On June 10, 2025, Frankel expressed concern about proposed cuts to veterans’ services. She stated, “Trump and House Republicans are turning their backs on our Veterans with reckless VA cuts that threaten the care and benefits of those who served.” She urged followers to watch a budget debate conducted by the Appropriations Committee Democrats at 3 PM ET on the same day.
Later that day, Frankel commemorated an important legislative milestone in gender equality. In a post made at 8:59 PM UTC, she said, “As Chair Emerita, I join the @DemWomenCaucus to mark the 62nd anniversary of the Equal Pay Act since becoming law.” Frankel emphasized her ongoing commitment to fighting for equal pay and workplace protections for women.
In another tweet dated June 11, 2025, Frankel reiterated her support for veterans. She wrote, “Our Veterans put their lives on the line to protect us… we’re fighting for a budget that looks after our vets.” This statement was made as part of discussions by Appropriations Committee Democrats on annual funding allocations aimed at supporting veterans’ services.
Lois Frankel was born in New York City in 1948 and currently resides in West Palm Beach. A graduate of Boston University and Georgetown University Law Center, she has dedicated much of her life to public service and advocacy.
