U.S. Representative Lois Frankel, who serves Florida’s 22nd district in Congress, addressed a range of issues in a series of posts on February 24, 2026. Frankel, who has held her congressional seat since 2013 after replacing Allen West and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1986 to 2002, used her social media platform to comment on domestic and international matters.
In one post dated February 24, 2026, Frankel criticized former President Donald Trump, stating: “Donald Trump is my constituent. He doesn’t understand—or seem to care—how his policies hurt his own neighbors and make life unaffordable. Instead, he ignores working families and makes the rich richer. He should acknowledge the real State of the Union tonight.”
Later that day, Frankel highlighted efforts to combat malaria and expressed gratitude for collaboration with advocacy organizations and fellow lawmakers. On February 24, she wrote: “A mosquito bite shouldn’t be a death sentence. Thank you @MalariaNoMore for your tremendous work and partnership in the fight against malaria. Proud to share this recognition with my colleagues, @MarioDB and @RepBera.”
Frankel also marked the anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine with a message posted on February 24: “Today marks four years since Russia’s brutal, unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. Putin’s military continues to kill innocent people, tear families apart, and destroy homes, schools, and hospitals. We stand with Ukraine and must keep our promise to support Ukrainian sovereignty.”
Frankel was born in New York City in 1948 and currently resides in West Palm Beach at age 74. She graduated from Boston University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts degree before earning her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University in 1973.
