U.S. Representative Lois Frankel, who has represented Florida’s 22nd district in Congress since 2013, used her social media platform to address concerns over federal nutrition program funding and vaccine policy changes in early December 2025.
On December 4, Frankel posted about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), stating: “SNAP administrative funds pay the frontline workers who make sure Florida families have the tools they need to put food on the table. Trump’s Big, Ugly Law is threatening their pay—as families’ budgets are already being stretched thin by higher costs.” She did not elaborate further in a subsequent post that day, which only contained links: “https://t.co/A0IbXHPsFk https://t.co/RINcL9KrAT”.
The following day, Frankel addressed public health concerns regarding vaccines and political advocacy. On December 5 she wrote: “The hep B vaccine has prevented 90k newborn deaths. RFK Jr—a non-doctor pushing an anti-vax crusade—is dismantling that protection. His panel is undoing decades of progress & spreading dangerous distrust in medical professionals. It’s reckless & a threat to children’s health.”
Frankel, who was born in New York City in 1948 and resides in West Palm Beach, has a long record of public service. Before joining Congress, she served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1986 to 2002. She holds degrees from Boston University and Georgetown University.
Her recent posts reflect ongoing debates about government support for low-income families and the role of vaccines in public health policy.
