Rep. Lois Frankel, U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida’s 22nd district since 2013, posted a series of messages on her social media accounts over Labor Day weekend and the days following, addressing workers’ rights, congressional colleagues, and public health concerns.
On September 1, 2025, Frankel marked the holiday with a message to her constituents: “Happy Labor Day, Palm Beach County! Today we celebrate the workers and unions who built this country, and recommit to ensuring fair wages, equal pay, and safe workplaces for all.”
The following day, she acknowledged Rep. Jerry Nadler’s contributions in Congress: “.@RepNadler has spent his career fighting for New Yorkers, the American people, and our Constitution. A true pillar in Congress, we’ll miss him dearly. I look forward to working with him for the rest of his term and wish him the best in what lies ahead.” This statement was posted on September 2.
Later that same day, Frankel addressed concerns about Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s stance on public health institutions: “Heading back to DC, and I’ll tell you what’s priority number one: stopping RFK Jr. from ripping apart the CDC and waging war on science. Our health is on the line and I won’t stand by while he plays games with it.”
Frankel has represented Florida’s 22nd District since defeating Allen West in 2013. Before her tenure in Congress began in January of that year, she served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1986 to 2002. Born in New York City in 1948 and currently residing in West Palm Beach at age 74, Frankel holds degrees from Boston University (BA) and Georgetown University (JD).
