U.S. Representative Lois Frankel, who has served Florida’s 22nd district in Congress since 2013, addressed a range of issues in recent posts on her official X (formerly Twitter) account, including the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, domestic violence awareness, and healthcare policy.
On October 15, 2025, Frankel called for Hamas to comply with a peace agreement regarding the return of deceased hostages. She stated, “Per the peace agreement, Hamas must immediately return the bodies of all deceased hostages to their loved ones. These families have suffered unimaginable loss; Hamas must honor the agreement and provide closure to families who have endured enough.”
The following day, during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Frankel highlighted support for survivors and promoted available resources. On October 16, she posted, “During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we honor the courage of survivors and recommit to ending domestic abuse in all its forms. If you or someone you love needs help, call the 24-hour National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233). “
On October 17, Frankel shifted focus to healthcare policy and affordability, referencing an individual named Kara who is managing post-cancer care costs. She wrote, “Kara beat cancer, but part of staying healthy means being able to afford her checkups. If Republicans allow ACA aid to expire, that could change. Republicans need to come to the table so families like Kara’s don’t lose their health care.”
Frankel’s advocacy on these topics reflects her long tenure in public service. She has represented Florida’s 22nd congressional district since replacing Allen West in 2013 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1986 to 2002. Born in New York City in 1948, Frankel holds degrees from Boston University and Georgetown University and resides in West Palm Beach.
