U.S. Representative Lois Frankel, who has represented Florida’s 22nd district in Congress since 2013, addressed issues ranging from healthcare and international security to the criminal justice system in a series of posts on September 2 and 3, 2025.
On September 2, Frankel wrote about Medicare policy and the impact of previous presidential actions on health coverage: “Delays and unnecessary red tape for Medicare patients only hurt those who need care most. And let’s not forget, Trump already ripped health coverage from over 15 million people.”
Later that day, she commented on Middle East security concerns: “A nuclear-armed Iran is an existential threat to Israel and endangers global security. The E3’s snapback sanctions are a vital step to ensuring Iran never obtains a nuclear weapon—our safety, and that of Israel and our allies, depends on it.”
On September 3, Frankel turned her attention to the case of Jeffrey Epstein: “I signed. Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes were horrific. The treatment of the survivors throughout the legal process was disgraceful. The sweetheart deal Epstein received was a failure of our justice system. We must know the full truth—so nothing like this ever happens again.”
Frankel’s comments reflect her ongoing engagement with national healthcare policy debates as well as foreign affairs related to Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Her remarks also align with longstanding calls for accountability in high-profile criminal cases.
Born in New York City in 1948 and now residing in West Palm Beach at age 74, Frankel has held office in Congress since replacing Allen West in 2013 after previously serving more than a decade in the Florida House of Representatives from 1986 to 2002. She holds degrees from Boston University (BA) and Georgetown University (JD).
