Lois Frankel, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 22nd district, has recently addressed several issues through her social media platform. Frankel, who has been serving in Congress since 2013 after replacing Allen West, often uses her platform to voice support for federal workers and veterans.
On May 5, 2025, Rep. Lois Frankel expressed concern over actions by the Trump Administration regarding federal workers. In her tweet during Public Service Recognition Week, she stated: “For weeks, the Trump Admin has targeted our federal workers who deliver the essential services Americans depend on every day.” She continued by offering support to public servants: “It’s #PublicServiceRecognitionWeek, and to all our public servants: I see you, I stand with you, and I’ve got your back.”
The following day on May 6, Frankel introduced a legislative initiative aimed at assisting older veterans. She highlighted the issue of preventable falls among this demographic in her tweet: “Too many older Veterans are hospitalized or injured from falls, which are often preventable.” To address this concern, she announced the bipartisan SAFE STEPS for Veterans Act designed to enhance fall prevention services at VA facilities.
Additionally on May 6th, Rep. Frankel acknowledged collaboration with fellow representatives on this initiative: “Proud to lead this effort with @RepNikkiB, @RepJenKiggans, @RepJackBergman, and @RepGusBilirakis.” The tweet also directed followers to learn more about their collective efforts.
Lois Frankel was born in New York City in 1948 and currently resides in West Palm Beach. She holds a BA from Boston University and a JD from Georgetown University.
