On Saturday, March 14, the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters, featuring former Palm Beach Central High School standout Mario McDonnough, were defeated 76-71 by the Lander Bearcats in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.
The contest was held at Finis Horne Arena at 2:30 p.m. and marked the teams’ first meeting in the tournament.
Chloe Yeatts of Florida Atlantic University’s softball team earned an honorable mention from the American Conference after strong performances against Tulsa. This marks her first honor this season and third overall as an Owl.
Florida Atlantic freshman Ava Koehl has been named an NSCA All-American for her achievements in beach volleyball during her first year with the team. This is both her first career honor from NSCA and a milestone for FAU’s program.
Florida Atlantic University has added sophomore guard Janiah Suprius to its women’s basketball team for next season after an award-winning year at Palm Beach State College. Head Coach LeAnn Freeland praised Suprius’ skills as both a scorer and playmaker.
