Lily Holtje receives conference honorable mention after strong week for FAU softball

Florida Atlantic University softball player Lily Holtje has been named to the American Athletic Conference weekly honorable mention list after a series of strong performances. This is Holtje’s second conference recognition during the 2026 season.

Over the past week, Holtje reached base in all seven games played by the Owls. She led her team with seven hits, including three doubles, and contributed one home run, five runs batted in (RBI), five runs scored, and seven walks. Her on-base percentage for the week was .609.

In a game against UMass on February 20, Holtje hit a home run and a double while driving in three runs, helping Florida Atlantic secure a 4-1 victory. Later that day against Southern Indiana, she drew three walks. To end the weekend, she added another RBI and two more walks in a 5-1 win over UMass.

Holtje currently leads Florida Atlantic in several categories: doubles (six), RBI (15), walks (15), and on-base percentage (.571).

The Owls will play their next game at UCF on Wednesday, February 25 at 5 p.m., which will be broadcast on ESPN+. Afterward, they will participate in the Beach Chicken Brawl tournament hosted by Coastal Carolina from February 27 to March 1.
