The Florida Atlantic University women’s track and field team will split into two groups to compete at the Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State on March 27, with others traveling south for the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational on March 28.
The participation in these meets provides opportunities for athletes to face strong competition from across the country. The Raleigh Relays feature a large field of teams, while the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational offers another platform for performance improvement.
Teegan Anderson, Sophie Dethier, and Jessica Hatch are scheduled to compete in both the 1500-meter run and the 3000-meter steeplechase at the Raleigh Relays. Other members of the team will return to Coral Gables to participate in eight events including sprints, hurdles, distance races, and a relay.
At their last meet, Jada Bolhuis was Florida Atlantic’s top finisher in the 400-meter event with a season-best time of 56.41 seconds. Rosa ten Berg won first place in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:09.26 while Anderson finished second at 2:12.64—earning her a spot as number ten all-time in program history for that event. Freshman Joelle White placed second in her first collegiate outdoor meet by running a time of 1:04.68 in the 400-meter hurdles.
Other notable performances included Bolhuis achieving a personal best of 24.95 seconds (+1.1) in the 200-meter dash, as well as contributions from Adriana Lopez and Richelle Williams across multiple events including relays.
Looking ahead, Florida Atlantic continues its season with these upcoming competitions while encouraging fans to follow their progress through social media updates.
