The Florida Atlantic University women’s tennis team is set to play two matches in Tampa this weekend, closing out February and starting March against Charlotte and South Florida. Both teams are members of the American Conference, but these contests will not count as conference matches.

The first match will be against Charlotte at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, held at the University of South Florida campus. Florida Atlantic has won all seven previous meetings with Charlotte, including a 4-2 victory in their last encounter on March 14, 2025. As this is a neutral site match, live statistics or streaming are not expected to be available.

On Sunday, March 1, the Owls will face USF at 11 a.m., remaining in the Tampa Bay area for the weekend. Last season, FAU defeated USF by a score of 4-0 and currently leads the all-time series 9-6. When playing in Tampa, FAU holds a record of six wins and two losses against USF. The match against USF will be streamed online.

Every player on the FAU roster has participated in dual matches so far in 2026. Panna Bartha, Lara Smejkal, Katrin Pavkova, and Alexia Patru each have a team-leading singles record of three wins and three losses. In doubles competition, Bartha leads with a 6-2 record; Pavkova follows at 5-3; Smejkal stands at 5-1; and Malwina Rowinska has achieved four wins with one loss.

Looking ahead, FAU will return home for a seven-match homestand beginning Monday, March 9 against Yale. The regular season concludes with an away match at FIU on Sunday, April 11 before the team heads to Houston for the American Conference Championship hosted by Rice from April 16 to April 19.
