The Florida Atlantic University women’s tennis team has started the 2026 season with a 3-3 record. The team will play ten matches over the next month, beginning with an away match against UCF in Orlando on Friday, February 20 at 6 p.m.

After the UCF match, the Owls will return home for seven matches. During this stretch, they will also travel to Tampa for two non-conference matches against American Conference teams. Home opponents include Princeton, Yale, Boston, James Madison, East Tennessee State, Harvard and DePaul.

Doubles play has been a strength for the Owls so far this year. The pair of Lara Smejkal and Malwina Rowinska have a 4-1 record on court #1 doubles, while Panna Bartha and Katrin Pavkova have achieved a 5-1 mark on court #2. The team has only lost the doubles point once in 2026.

Singles lineup decisions remain ongoing. Three different players have appeared at court #1 singles. Alexia Patru is the only player to consistently compete at court #6 and holds a 3-2 record there. Both Bartha and Smejkal are even at 3-3 overall; Pavkova and Rowinska are both at 2-2; freshman Malia Amirgaliyveva stands at 2-3 with both wins coming on court #4.

Following Friday’s match against UCF, FAU will host Princeton on Sunday. Live statistics for that match will be available online. The last meeting between FAU and Princeton was March 18, 2018, when FAU won by a score of 4-2.

The schedule continues with two matches in Tampa from February 28 to March 1: Charlotte in a neutral site contest followed by USF on March 1 at 11 a.m., which can be viewed through Playsight streaming.
