Florida Atlantic women’s tennis falls to Miami in road match

Florida Atlantic University’s women’s tennis team was defeated 4-0 by the University of Miami in Coral Gables on Saturday. The Owls lost the doubles point early, with Miami winning matches on courts one and two.

In singles play, Miami secured the first point with a win on court five. Junior Panna Bartha, who had won her previous match on Friday, was defeated by No. 73 Raquel Gonzalez 6-4, 6-2 on the top court. Miami clinched the overall victory with a straight sets win on court two.

With this result, Florida Atlantic’s record moves to 3-3 for the season while Miami improves to 3-1.
