Florida Atlantic women’s golf prepares for Reynolds Lake Oconee Invite

Florida Atlantic University’s women’s golf team is set to compete in the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invite hosted by Mercer in Greensboro, Georgia. The tournament will feature 54 holes of stroke play over three days at Great Waters Golf Club, which is a par 72 course measuring 6,107 yards.

Junior Charlotte Perkins will return to defend her individual title from last season. Last year, Perkins secured her first collegiate victory at this event, finishing one shot ahead of a field of 85 competitors with a final score of +1.

Nancy Cox will play in the No. 1 position for Florida Atlantic this weekend. Cox has consistently placed within the Top 15 in each of her last five tournaments, including last season’s American Conference Championship.

Carolin Alblas joins the lineup after posting a final round score of 67 at the Paradise Invitational two weeks ago. Freshman Tina Genoulaz and junior Giulia Scarcello complete the team’s starting five for this event.

The field includes 15 teams and 81 individuals, among them Boston College (ranked No. 58), Butler (No. 177), Central Arkansas (No. 118), Daytona State (No. 2 NJCAA), Delaware (No. 103), ETSU (No. 169), Florida Atlantic (No. 93), Mercer (No. 91), South Dakota State (No.184), Tulane (No.111), UNCG (No.134), Virginia Tech (No.36), Western Carolina (No.201), Western Kentucky (No.80) and Wofford (No.163).
