Florida Atlantic women’s golf places 13th at Terps Invitational in Maryland

Florida Atlantic University’s women’s golf team finished in 13th place at the Terps Invitational hosted by Maryland on April 6. Virginia claimed the team title with a score of four under par, led by individual medalist Jaclyn LaHa, who finished five under.

The tournament saw Florida Atlantic’s Nancy Cox, Tina Genoulaz, and Charlotte Perkins improve their standings during the final round. Both Cox and Genoulaz posted scores of 75, three over par, which moved them up ten spots on the leaderboard to tie for 53rd place. Cox recorded five birdies while Genoulaz made two during Monday’s play.

Charlotte Perkins was Florida Atlantic’s top finisher in the event, securing 43rd place with a total score of twelve over par. Other team members included Carolin Alblas and Maddie Rathjen, who finished in 78th and 84th places respectively.

The next competition for Florida Atlantic will be the American Conference Championship beginning April 20 at Southern Hills in Brooksville, Florida.
