The Florida Atlantic University softball team will host its first American Conference home series of the season against East Carolina, with games scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 1 p.m., and Sunday at noon. All matchups will take place on Joan Joyce Field at FAU Softball Stadium and will be broadcast on ESPN+.

This series marks a return to Boca Raton for the Owls after opening conference play with a series win in Charlotte. The team currently holds a 19-7 overall record and is undefeated at home this season, matching the best home start in program history at 12-0. East Carolina enters the series with a 17-9 record and last visited Boca Raton in 2024.

In their previous outing, redshirt junior outfielder Kylie Hammonds led off the Charlotte series with a home run and added another for her first multi-home run game. Graduate pitcher Ainsley Lambert recorded a save and did not allow any runs over two games. Both Hammonds and Lambert were named to the American Conference Honorable Mention list for their performances.

Head Coach Jordan Clark is now in her fourth season leading Florida Atlantic, holding a career record of 140-55. Clark and her staff have been recognized as American Conference Coaching Staff of the Year in both 2024 and 2025. The Owls are back-to-back regular season champions and were ranked No. 1 in this year’s preseason coaches’ poll. Senior pitcher Autumn Courtney was named an All-American last May after earning unanimous Pitcher of the Year honors, while sophomore Lily Holtje leads the team offensively with a .448 batting average.

East Carolina’s Head Coach Shane Winkler is in his fifth year with the program. Sophomore Jenna Krol leads the Pirates with 20 runs batted in, while freshman Sydney Rainford recently earned Pitcher of the Week honors after two complete game shutouts. ECU’s defense has turned 15 double plays this season, ranking ninth nationally. The Pirates trail Florida Atlantic in their all-time series, having been swept by the Owls last year.

Following this weekend’s games, Florida Atlantic will travel to face Wichita State from March 20 to March 22.
