Florida Atlantic University’s softball team ended the 2026 Paradise Classic with two wins on Sunday, defeating Stonehill and Delaware. The Owls improved their record to 5-0 for the season.

In the first game against Stonehill, Florida Atlantic secured a 10-0 victory, allowing no hits. Redshirt junior outfielder Kylie Hammonds led off with a double and scored after an error by Stonehill. Senior third baseman Jesiana Mora hit her first home run of the year in the same inning. The team’s lead increased in the third inning with a home run from redshirt senior shortstop McKenna Mulholland, followed by five more runs in the fourth. Sophomore Lily Holtje contributed with a sacrifice fly that brought in two runners.

Senior pitcher Madison Inscoe made her first start for Florida Atlantic and retired 12 consecutive batters after an initial error. Freshman Ashlynn Durkin entered in the fifth inning to complete a combined no-hitter.

In their second game of the day, Florida Atlantic overcame an early deficit to win 4-2 against Delaware. Holtje tied the game in the first inning with a two-run single. Junior Kiley Shelton opened the fourth inning with a double, and senior Chloe Yeatts’ sacrifice fly brought in what became the go-ahead run.

A key defensive play occurred in the sixth inning when sophomore leftfielder Bella Foran threw out a runner at home plate, assisted by Yeatts, ending Delaware’s scoring threat. Mulholland added another run for Florida Atlantic on a sacrifice fly later that inning. Pitcher Ainsley Lambert closed out the seventh inning to secure the win.

The team has now started its season 5-0 for two consecutive years. Hammonds has reached base in 31 straight games dating back to last season, while Mora and Hammonds each had three hits during Sunday’s games. Freshman Lily Lowery recorded her first collegiate hit during this tournament weekend.
