Florida Atlantic University’s softball team secured a 4-3 win over Wisconsin on Saturday night at FAU Softball Stadium. The victory keeps the Owls undefeated at 3-0 for the 2026 season, with all wins coming against Big Ten opponents. Wisconsin, now 2-1, suffered its first loss of the year.

Freshman pitcher Makenna Lee made her collegiate debut and pitched 3.1 innings, allowing two hits and recording three strikeouts. Senior Autumn Courtney came in as relief, making her third appearance in as many days to earn the win.

In the early innings, Lee struck out a batter and did not allow a run. Sophomore Destiny Johns contributed defensively in the second inning. Lily Holtje led off the bottom of the second with a double and was brought home by McKenna Mulholland for the first run.

The Owls extended their lead in the third inning when Kylie Hammonds scored on a wild pitch and Jesiana Mora crossed home plate on a groundout. Lee kept Wisconsin hitless through three innings before Courtney entered with bases loaded in the fourth, allowing just one run to maintain a 3-1 lead.

Courtney struck out two batters in a scoreless fifth inning, and Mora added an RBI double to give Florida Atlantic a 4-1 advantage. In the seventh inning, Wisconsin hit a two-run home run to close the gap to one run and put another runner on base. Courtney responded by striking out two more batters to end the game.

The Owls are now 9-3 against power conference teams over the last two seasons. Kylie Hammonds has reached base in 29 consecutive games dating back to 2025 and recorded two hits during this game. Jesiana Mora had her second multi-hit game of the season. Lee and Courtney combined for eight strikeouts; Florida Atlantic has struck out at least eight batters in each of its first three games.

Florida Atlantic will finish play at the Paradise Classic on Sunday with games against Stonehill at 1:30 p.m. and Delaware at 4 p.m., both available via FAUSports.com.
